Medicare: The Four Parts

Medicare isn’t just one program — it’s four parts.

  • Part A helps with hospital stays.

  • Part B helps with doctor visits and outpatient care. You pay for this

  • Part C (Medicare Advantage) usually bundles A and B, often Part D, and may add extras like dental or vision. You pay for this

  • Part D helps with prescription drugs. You pay for this unless it's bundled with Part C


Once you see the parts clearly, your options feel less overwhelming.

JenCares Corp is a licensed and certified representative of Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, PFFS, and PDP organizations that have a Medicare contract. Enrollment in any plan depends on contract renewal.
 

Enrollment in a plan may be limited to certain times of the year unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period or are in your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period.


We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently, we represent 11 organizations which offer more than 546 products in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.


Not all plans offer all of these benefits. Benefits may vary by carrier and location. Limitations and exclusions may apply.


Medicare Supplement insurance is available to those age 65 and older enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, and in some states to those under age 65 who are eligible for Medicare due to disability, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), or End Stage Renal Disease. Medicare Supplement plans are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or federal Medicare program. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) does not review or approve Medicare Supplement plan information. Medicare Supplement plans cannot be held with Medicare Advantage plans.

If you are eligible for Medicare, a licensed sales agent or agency will contact you to discuss Medicare plan options, such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug plans, via phone or email. Submitting this form will not impact your current Medicare Part A and Part B enrollment, nor will it enroll you in any Medicare plan.

For plans with Part D Coverage: You may be able to get Extra Help to pay for your prescription drug premiums and costs. To see if you qualify for Extra Help, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, or consult www.medicare.gov. You can also contact the Social Security Office at 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday (TTY: 1-800-325-0778 or www.socialsecurity.gov), or your Medicaid office.


You must have both Part A and Part B to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. Members may enroll in the plan only during specific times of the year. Contact the plan for more information.
